Megan Fox Mondays

Just some new movie trailer alerts. All the other crap on our Monday mind is contained in the Mother's Day dump.

- H2 Trailer. Rob Zombie's vision of Michael Myers is finally here. Re-telling the story and forming a new vision for the future, Halloween gets a slight makeover and looks ready to rock. Rob Zombie might do great things for this franchise.

- Disney's "The Princess and The Frog" trailer. Anything Disney will always be at the top of my list of awesomeness. All things Disney are the greatest things in the world. Disney World is the world's best place, Disney movies are the world's greatest stories. Walt Disney's vision and creations are second only to God's on this wonderful earth.

Showing brief clips of legendary Disney films like Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King, Disney's next new film tells the story of the kiss of all kisses. Every childhood fairy tale involved a princess, a prince, and usually a frog, and Disney is bringing that tale to the big screen. Featuring Oprah, Terrence Howard, and John Goodman, the new Disney film will hit screens in December.

- "Public Enemies" updated international trailer. The cast for this movie is out of this world. Johnny Depp, Christian Bale, Marion Cotillard. The director, Michael Mann, is legendary. The plot, John Dillinger and bank robberies, is perfect. This movie has all the makings of a great film. Shot partially in Chicago, "Public Enemies" is one of the summers most anticipated films. This updated trailer brings the plot line around even more, including scenes with Depp & Bale together.

Mann has always been an incredible director and this era and this storyline is perfect for his filming abilities. The rich look of the film lends a lot to Mann's style and creativity and is sure to look beautiful on screen. Mann's talent should blend perfectly with this movie. This film has the makings of a classic.

'Public Enemies' Trailer

The 'Public Enemies' trailer starring Johnny Depp & Christian Bale is finally online.

There are 2 highlights that stick out to me:

1) A quick flash of Lincoln Avenue in Chicago and the Biograph Theatre that was recreated this past Summer for filming.

2) The infamous photo of Dillinger in a Dayton, Ohio jail holding a placard before he was released from jail and immediately robbed a bank upon that release.

Dayton, Ohio, being my location of collegiate excellence, is an exciting thing to see on the big screen. Other than Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and the University of Dayton, Dayton leaves a lot to be desired. If you take nearby Lima, Ohio and it's most famous resident, former WWE star Al Snow, out of the occasion, Ohio basically has nothing.

I used to liken Dayton to Gotham City. There's the actual city of Dayton, the downtown area, where after 2pm, if you wander onto the wrong street, you'll get shot and stabbed 46 times. Then there's Oakwood, the lovely city just south of Dayton, where you can wander down the street and find gold bullions lying on the sidewalk.

Right smack dab in the middle is the University of Dayton (the Harvard of the Midwest). UD is basically the filter that keeps full-scale civil war from breaking out. You remove UD, and a nuclear riot is on your hands. It's the equivalent of taking Batman out of Gotham City. Bedlam.

That's bound to turn around though when you throw Johnny Depp and his mug shot on the big screen. It's breakout time for Dayton, Ohio, I'm tellin ya.

One other thing of note in the trailer, is the trademark style that makes it a Michael Mann movie. The shots are glorious and crisp and if you listen closely, you can feel a little 'Miami Vice' like vibe as the trailer really picks up.

Yes, it's that sweet.
